Pakistan’s FM Bilawal Bhutto to Visit India Next Month


The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit will take place in GOA, (India) on May 4 and May 5. This is to inform you that Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will feature participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). It is said by the PTI press information department, Bilawal Zardari will serve as the head of the Pakistani delegation to the Council of Foreign Ministers.

Foreign Office spokeswoman Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated “Our participation in the meeting reflects Pakistan’s commitment to the SCO Charter and processes as well as the importance that Pakistan accords to the region in its foreign policy priorities”. Baloch explained that S. Jaishankar, India’s minister of external affairs, had extended an invitation to FM Bhutto Zardari.

In 2001, The presidents of China, Russia, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan established the SCO at a conference in Shanghai. Now, it has grown to become one of the biggest trans-regional associations.

Pakistani Officials Visit to India:

  • Hina Rabbani Khar, the foreign minister of Pakistan visited India in 2011.
  • Now Bhutto Zardari has been officially invited by India. After Nawaz Sharif, FM Zardari’s trip to India will mark the first by a Pakistani leader.
