The federal administration on Wednesday decided to pay salaries for the month of April to the personnel of public sector ministries before Eid-ul-Fitr. The declaration comes after conversations between Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. The choice was made as Pakistanis battled record-high inflation, which forced some people to sacrifice necessary foods. Additionally, the nation has trouble securing outside financing.
The administration has also planned to release monthly pensions before the festival, said information minister Maryam Aurangzeb, who confirmed the development.
Financial Arrangements Regarding Eid-ul-Fitr
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar then instructed the finance secretary, Hamed Yaqoob Sheikh, to make the appropriate arrangements. The government of Sindh declared that Muslim government employees would be paid ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. All Muslim employees and pensioners of the Provincial Government of Sindh would be paid in advance full salary and pension for April, This is according to a statement from the finance department of Govt. of Sindh.
Release Date of Pensions and Salaries
The notification also stated that paychecks and pensions will be released on April 17 rather than May 2, and that Eid is scheduled to fall on either April 21 or April 22. The choice demonstrates how committed the Pakistani government is to ensuring the welfare of its people, which has always taken precedence over the welfare of its workers.
Govt. Instructions to Private Sector
The government has urged all organizations to release payments immediately and without any delays in order to avoid disturbing workers. This action will help to promote a positive workplace culture in the nation and is anticipated to increase the morale of government workers. The government’s decision to prioritize employee wellbeing will serve as a positive role model for other corporations.
